15.  A market operator shall—

(a)ensure that a pig is not accepted into the market or sold at the market if it is subject to a movement restriction notice served under article 19 which prevents movement to the market;

(b)ensure that a pig is not accepted into the market or sold at the market unless it is identified with an eartag bearing a holding code and individual identification number;

(c)ensure that a pig is not accepted into the market or sold at the market unless it is accompanied by a movement document as specified in article 14(1);

(d)ensure that the identification mark of each pig accepted into the market or sold at the market is recorded in the holding register;

(e)ensure that all pigs are divided into groups of one or more pigs immediately upon their arrival at the market and shall ensure—

(i)a lot number is allocated to each group, and

(ii)the lot number is recorded in the holding register at the market, and

(iii)the lot number is recorded on the movement document which accompanied the pigs into the market.
