The Regional Agency for Public Health and Social Well-being shall, with the prior consent of the Safeguarding Board, appoint—
a
a person to act as Safeguarding Board Director of Operations; and
b
such other Safeguarding Board staff as the Safeguarding Board considers necessary.

Persons appointed in accordance with paragraph (1) shall be employed by the Regional Agency for Public Health and Social Well-being and their services shall be made available to the Safeguarding Board for the period of the appointment.
