Appointed days
2.—(1) 30th January 2012 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of section 11 (spring traps) of the Act, for the purpose only of enabling orders to be made by the Department of the Environment under Article 12A(2) or (3) of the Wildlife (Northern Ireland) Order 1985(1).
(2) 12th March 2012 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of the following provisions of the Act—
(a)section 11, so far as not already in operation; and
(b)Part 1 of Schedule 3 (repeals: wildlife), so far as it relates to the Welfare of Animals Act (Northern Ireland) 1972 (2).
