The Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Community Recording Equipment Regulation) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Community Recording Equipment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011 and shall come into operation on 5th September 2011.

(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(1) shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.

Amendment to the definition of the Community Recording Equipment Regulation

2.—(1) In each of the provisions specified in paragraph (2) for the definition of “the Community Recording Equipment Regulation” substitute—

“the Community Recording Equipment Regulation” means Council Regulation (EEC) No. 3821/85 on recording equipment in road transport(2) as read with the Community Drivers’ Hours and Recording Equipment (Exemptions and Supplementary Provisions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009”(3).

(2) The provisions referred to in paragraph (1) are—

(a)regulation 2(1) of the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996(4); and

(b)regulation 2(1) of the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Tachograph Card) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007(5).
