2.—(1) In these Regulations —
“the Act” means the Medicines Act 1968;
“emergency” means an emergency of the type described in section 19(1)(a) of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004(1) (meaning of “emergency”) read with subsection 2(a) and (b) of that section.
(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(2) shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.
