The Forestry (2010 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2010

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development(1), makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 39(1) of the Forestry Act (Northern Ireland) 2010(2).

Citation and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Forestry (2010 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2010.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Forestry Act (Northern Ireland) 2010.

Appointed Day

2.  13th September 2010 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of the provisions of the Act listed in the Schedule.

the entries relating to section 7A(3)(a) of the Game Preservation Act (Northern Ireland) 1928(1)

the entries relating to Schedules 1 and 2 to the Financial Provisions Act (Northern Ireland) 1971(3)

the entries relating to Article 7 of the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1977(4)

the entries relating to Article 20 of the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1984(5)

the entries relating to section 2(2) and (3) of the Game Preservation (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2002(6)

the entries relating to the Forestry Act (Northern Ireland) 1953(7) but only in so far as they relate to the repeal of sections 1, 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14(1B) and (1C), 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20

This Order provides for the coming into operation of the provisions of the Forestry Act (Northern Ireland) 2010 listed in the Schedule to this Order, on 13th September 2010.
