3.—(1) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(1) shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
(2) In these Regulations—
“the 1988 Regulations” means the Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) Regulations 1988(2);
“the 2000 Regulations” means the Non-automatic Weighing Instruments Regulations 2000(3); and
“the Department” means the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment.
