Amendment of the Specified Sugar Products Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003

19.  In the Specified Sugar Products Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003(1), for Note 7 to Schedule 1 (specified sugar products and their reserved descriptions) there is substituted—

“7.  Specified sugar products may contain any substance permitted pursuant to Directive 2009/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the approximation of the laws of the Member States on extraction solvents used in the production of foodstuffs and food ingredients (Recast) or Regulation (EC) No. 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on food additives.”.
