The Bluetongue (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development(1) makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of and paragraph 1A(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972 (3) and Articles 5(1), 10(6), 12(1), 14, 19, 20, 44, 46(7A) and 60(1) of the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981(4).
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as The Bluetongue (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008 and comes into operation on 16th February 2008.
Interpretation
2. The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(5) shall apply to this Order as it applies to an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Amendment
3. Article 1 of the Bluetongue Order (Northern Ireland) 2008(6) is hereby amended by substituting “16th February 2008” for “22nd February 2008”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Bluetongue Order (Northern Ireland) 2008 to bring that Order into operation on the 16th February 2008.
