The Christmas Bonus (Relevant Week) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008

The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 146(4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992(1) and now vested in it(2).

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Christmas Bonus (Relevant Week) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008 and shall come into operation on 28th November 2008.

Relevant week for 2008

2.  For the purposes of section 146(4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992 (interpretation of Part X), the relevant week in relation to the year 2008 is the week beginning with Monday 22nd December 2008.

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order provides that for the year 2008 the relevant week for the purposes of Part X (Christmas bonus) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992 is the week beginning with Monday 22nd December 2008.
