The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 60(1) of the Welfare Reform Act (Northern Ireland) 2007(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Welfare Reform (2007 Act) (Commencement No. 7) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008.
2. The day appointed for the coming into operation of section 13(7) of the Welfare Reform Act (Northern Ireland) 2007 (work-related activity) is 27th October 2008.

Article 2 of this Order provides for the coming into operation of section 13(7) of the Welfare Reform Act (Northern Ireland) 2007 (“the Act”) on 27th October 2008.
Section 13(7) defines “work-related activity” for the purposes of Part 1 of the Act in relation to employment and support allowance.
