This Statutory Rule has been made in consequence of a defect in S.R. 2007 No. 476 and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of that Statutory Rule.

Coming into operation
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 25(2)(k) and 26 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 19981 (“the 1998 Act”), with the consent of the Treasury in accordance with section 72(2A)2 of that Act.
The Secretary of State has consulted with the Police Negotiating Board in accordance with section 62(3) of the Police Act 19963, and the Northern Ireland Policing Board and the Police Association in accordance with section 26(6) of the 1998 Act.
