The Smoke Control Areas (Authorised Fuels) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 (“the 2003 Regulations”) prescribed authorised fuels for the purpose of the Clean Air (Northern Ireland) Order 1981.
These Regulations amend the 2003 Regulations by—
(a)making minor changes to the descriptions in paragraphs 3(e), 25(e) and 32(d) of the Schedule to the 2003 Regulations; and
(b)introducing new paragraphs 6A, 13A, 23A, 27A, 34, 34A and 35 to describe nine new authorised fuels.
(c)allowing fuels in paragraphs 3, 25 and 32 of the Schedule that were manufactured before 11th February 2007, which were authorised fuels prior to that date, to remain authorised fuels.
