The Department for Social Development makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 21(10)(c), 31(1), (3) and (5) and 36(2) of the Jobseekers (Northern Ireland) Order 1995(1) and now vested in it(2). The Regulations are made with a view to ascertaining whether their provisions will, or will be likely to, encourage persons to obtain work or will, or will be likely to, facilitate the obtaining by persons of work(3).
The Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it(4).
