2. The day appointed for the coming into operation of Article 63 of the Social Security (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 (daily rate of maternity allowance) is 1st October 2006 in respect of women whose expected week of confinement begins on or after 1st April 2007 and for the purpose of this Article “expected week of confinement” shall be construed in accordance with section 35 of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992(1).
