Powers of entry13

An inspector shall, on producing, if so required, some duly authenticated document showing his authority, have a right at all reasonable hours, to enter any premises (including any domestic premises if they are being used for any purpose in connection with the Community TSE Regulation and these Regulations) for the purpose of ensuring that the Community TSE Regulation and these Regulations are being complied with.

An inspector may take with him—

a

such other persons as he considers necessary; and

b

any representative of the European Commission acting for the purpose of the enforcement of a Community obligation.

If an inspector enters any unoccupied premises he shall leave them as effectively secured against unauthorised entry as he found them.

In this regulation “premises” includes any vehicle, container or structure (moveable or otherwise).
