Amendment to the Pollution Prevention and Control Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003
2.—(1) The Pollution Prevention and Control Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003(1) shall be amended as follows.
(2) For the definition of “vehicle refinishing” in paragraph (2) of Section 7 (SED Activities) of Part 1 of Schedule 1 (Activities, Installations and Mobile Plant) to the 2003 Regulations substitute the following:
““vehicle refinishing” means any industrial or commercial coating activity and associated degreasing activities performing—
(i)
the original coating of road vehicles as defined in Directive 70/156/EEC or part of them with refinishing-type materials, where this is carried out away from the original manufacturing line; or
(ii)
the coating of trailers (including semi-trailers) (category O);”.
