The Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minister, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 5(1) and (2) of the Ombudsman (Northern Ireland) Order 1996(1) and Article 4(1) and (2) of the Commissioner for Complaints (Northern Ireland) Order 1996(2) and now vested in it(3) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Salaries (Assembly Ombudsman and Commissioner for Complaints) Order (Northern Ireland) 2005 and shall come into operation on 21st March 2005.
2. The Salaries (Assembly Ombudsman and Commissioner for Complaints) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003(4) is hereby revoked.
3. The annual salaries payable to the Assembly Ombudsman and the Commissioner for Complaints shall be increased from £106,196 to £109,892 from 1st April 2004.

This Order provides for an increase in the annual salaries payable to the Assembly Ombudsman for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Complaints.
This provision is made with retrospective effect from 1st April 2004 under Article 5(2) of the Ombudsman (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 and Article 4(2) of the Commissioner for Complaints (Northern Ireland) Order 1996.
Article 2 revokes the Salaries (Assembly Ombudsman and Commissioner for Complaints) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003.
