The County Court Fees (Amendment No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2004

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 116(1) of the Judicature (Northern Ireland) Act 1978(1) after consultation with the Lord Chief Justice, and with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the County Court Fees (Amendment No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2004 and shall come into operation on 6th January 2005.

(2) In this Order “the principal Order” means the County Court Fees Order (Northern Ireland) 1996(2).

Amendments to the principal Rules

2.  In Schedule 1 to the principal Order, there shall be substituted for the title to Section III, wherever it appears, the following new title –

3.  After Fee no. 4 there shall be inserted the following new fee:

5.  On a notice of application to the court in relation to a bookmaking office licence (under Article 12(1) and Article 14(1) of the Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985 … £216·00.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order amends the County Court Fees Order (Northern Ireland) 1996 to prescribe the fee to be taken in respect of applications to the court in relation to a bookmaking office licence under the Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985.
