Licensing (Form of Licence) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004

The Department for Social Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 33 of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996(1) and now vested in it(2) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These regulations may be cited as the Licensing (Form of Licence) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004 and shall come into operation on 6th January 2005.

(2) In these Regulations –

“the principal Regulations” means the Licensing (Form of Licence) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997(3).

Kind of premises for which licence granted

2.  In Part I of Form 1 of the Schedule to the principal Regulations, after “[a non-seagoing vessel.]” there shall be inserted “[an indoor arena.]”.

Particulars of approved plans and other details as to grant or provisional grant of licence

3.  In Part II of Form 1 of the Schedule to the principal Regulations, in paragraph D for “5(1)(h)” there shall be substituted “[5(1)(h)] [5(1)(k)]”.

Attachment on renewal, or attachment, variation or removal at any time of conditions of licences for indoor arenas

4.  After Part VIII of Form 1 of the Schedule to the principal Regulations, there shall be inserted –

PART IXATTACHMENT ON RENEWAL, OR ATTACHMENT, VARIATION OR REMOVAL AT ANY TIME OF CONDITIONS TO LICENCES FOR INDOOR ARENAS

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations.)

These regulations amend the Licensing (Form of Licence) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997 by prescribing the form of licence which is issued by a court to authorise the retail sale of intoxicating liquor in an indoor arena under the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996.
