21. Subject to regulation 21 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000(1), in any proceedings for an offence consisting of a contravention of these Regulations it shall be a defence for any person to prove that he took all reasonable precautions and exercised all due diligence to avoid the commission of that offence.
