Extension of meaning of “work”
19. For the purposes of Part II of the 1978 Order the meaning of “work” shall be extended to include any activity involving the consignment, storage or use of a Group 2, 3 or 4 biological agent and the meaning of “at work” shall be extended accordingly, and in that connection the references to employer in paragraphs 5 and 6 of Schedule 3 include references to any person carrying out such an activity.
