1. This Order may be cited as the Code of Practice (Redundancy Consultation and Procedures) (Appointed Day) Order (Northern Ireland) 2002.
2. Subject to Article 3, the Department for Employment and Learning hereby appoints 1st December 2002 as the day on which the revised Code of Practice on Redundancy Consultation and Procedures issued by the Agency on 18th May 2000, under Article 90(1), (7), (9), (10) and (13) of the Industrial Relations (Northern Ireland) Order 1992, shall have effect.
3. The Code which came into effect on 1st October 1998 by virtue of the Code of Practice (Redundancy Consultation and Procedures) (Appointed Day) Order (Northern Ireland) 1998(1) shall only have effect in relation to any proceedings which were before an industrial tribunal or the Industrial Court before 1st December 2002.
