This Order may be cited as the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Prescription of Offices, Ranks and Positions) Order (Northern Ireland) 2002 and shall come into operation on 24th October 2002.

In this Order “the 2000 Act” means the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.

The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 19542 shall apply to this Order as it applies to an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
