The Northern Ireland Assembly Commission, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3(3) of the Allowances to Members of the Assembly Act (Northern Ireland) 2000(1) and all other powers conferred on it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Allowances to Members of the Assembly (Winding Up Allowance) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2002 and shall come into operation on the day after the Order is made.
2. In section 3(3) of the Allowances to Members of the Assembly Act (Northern Ireland) 2000, for “£11,617” there shall be substituted “£16,000”.

This Order increases the maximum ceiling of the Winding Up allowance mentioned in section 3(3) of the Allowances to Members of the Assembly Act (Northern Ireland) 2000 from £11,617 to £16,000.
