Assistance by way of representation for certain cases under the Life Sentences (Northern Ireland) Order 2001
2. In regulation 17(3)(b) of the Legal Advice and Assistance Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1981(1) –
(1) after the words “those proceedings”, in sub-paragraph (iii), there shall be added the word “, or”;
(2) after the words “Life Sentence Review Commissioners”, in sub-paragraph (iv), there shall be added the word “, or”;
(3) after sub-paragraph (iv), there shall be added the following sub-paragraph –
“(v)in respect of a hearing held under Article 10 or 11 of the Life Sentences (Northern Ireland) Order 2001(2) by a solicitor acting on behalf of the person whose case is or is to be the subject of the hearing”.
