SOCIAL SECURITY

The Social Security Fraud (2001 Act) (Commencement No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2002

The Department for Social Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 17(1) of the Social Security Fraud Act (Northern Ireland) 2001(1) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Social Security Fraud (2001 Act) (Commencement No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2002.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Social Security Fraud Act (Northern Ireland) 2001.

Appointed day

2.  The day appointed for the coming into operation of—

(a)section 5 of the Act (supply of information);

(b)section 13 of the Act (delegation of functions);

(c)section 14 of the Act (colluding employers); and

(d)the Schedule to the Act (repeals), (except in so far as it relates to section 104A(7) of the Social Security Administration (Northern Ireland) Act 1992) and section 16 of the Act in so far as it relates to that Schedule,

is 1st May 2002.
