Citation, commencement and interpretation
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Fund (Recovery by Deductions from Benefits) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2001 and shall come into operation on 9th April 2001.
(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(1) shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.
Amendment to regulation 2 of the Social Fund (Recovery by Deductions from Benefits) Regulations
2. In Regulation 2 of the Social Fund (Recovery by Deductions from Benefits) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1988(2) (benefits from which an award may be recovered), after paragraph (cc) there shall be inserted the following paragraphs—
“(dd)widowed parent’s allowance under section 39A of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992(3);
(ee)bereavement allowance under section 39B of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992.”.
