1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Northern Ireland Policing Board (Prescribed Period) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 2nd February 2001.
(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(1) applies to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
(3) The Northern Ireland Policing Board (Prescribed Period) Regulations 2000(2) are hereby revoked.
2.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2) below the prescribed period for the purposes of paragraph 7 of Schedule 1 to the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 is 15 days.
(2) For the purposes of paragraph 7(5) and (11) the prescribed period is three days.
(3) The further period referred to in paragraph 7(11) is three days.
