1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001 and shall come into operation on 8th August 2001.
(2) In this Order—
(a)“designated area” means the area designated in Article 3 and the Schedule;
(b)“relevant time” means, in relation to the designated area, 0001 hours on 8th August 2001;
(c)“scallops” means scallops of the species Pecten maximus and Queen scallops of the species Chlamys opercularis;
(d)“the Department” means the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety.
(3) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(1) shall apply to this Order as it applies to an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
