The Department of Finance and Personnel, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(2) of the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 1998(1) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Rates (Amendment) (1998 Order) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2000.
2. Article 6 of the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 shall come into operation on 1st April 2000.

(This note is not part of the Order.
This Order brings into operation on 1st April 2000 Article 6 of the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 1998. The 1998 Order is now fully in operation from that date, the rest of its provisions having come into operation on 1st April 1999 in accordance with Article 1(2): see the Rates (Amendment) (1998 Order) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999 (S.R. 1999 No. 58 (c. 7)).
