Coming into operation

Now, therefore, the Department of Health and Social Services for Northern Ireland, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by sections 132 and 165(1) of the Social Security Administration (Northern Ireland) Act 1992(3) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Social Security Benefits Up-rating (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1999.
2. In Article 1(1) of the Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order (Northern Ireland) 1999(4) for sub-paragraphs (c) and (d) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraphs—
“(c)Article 10 on 4th April 1999;
(ca)Article 9 on 6th April 1999;
(d)Articles 3 to 5 and 11 to 13 on 12th April 1999;”.

This Order corrects an error in the Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order (Northern Ireland) 1999 by changing the dates of coming into operation of Articles 9 and 10 of that Order from 12th April 1999 and 5th April 1999 to 6th April 1999 and 4th April 1999 respectively.
