Foyle Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1999

The Foyle Fisheries Commission in exercise of its powers under section 13(1) and (2) of the Foyle Fisheries Act 1952(1), and section 13(1) and (2) of the Foyle Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1952(2), with the approval of the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources in the Republic of Ireland(3) and the Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland(4), hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Foyle Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2000.

Amendment to the Foyle Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) Regulations 1976

2.  There shall be substituted for the Schedule to the Foyle Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) Regulations 1976(5), the following Schedule:—

Season Game Fishing Rod and Line provided applicant can produce at the time of application a season game fishing rod licence for the time being in force and issued by the Fisheries Conservancy Board for Northern Ireland or a salmon rod (annual) ordinary licence for the time being in force and issued under section 67 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act 1959(6) or a salmon rod (annual) (district) ordinary licence, for the time being in force and issued under section 16 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 1991(7)17·00

Revocation

3.  The Foyle Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) (Amendment) Regulations 1999(8) are hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations.)

These Regulations amend the Foyle Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) Regulations 1976 by increasing the licence fees payable in 2000 in respect of each type of net used and each type of game fishing licence issued in the Folye Area by the following amounts:
