3. In Schedule 3—
(a)in paragraph 3(1) to (3) before the word “award” on each occasion it occurs there shall be inserted the word “old”; and
(b)after sub-paragraph (4) the following paragraph shall be inserted—
“(4A) A transitional award shall terminate at the end of the first year of the course.”
