Exempted fireplaces
2. The classes of fireplace prescribed in column (1) of Schedule 1 shall, subject to the conditions prescribed in column (2) thereof, be exempted from the provisions of Article 17 of the Order (which makes it an offence to emit smoke from a chimney in a smoke control area).
