To be laid before Parliament under paragraph 3(3) of Schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 1974
Coming into operation
9th July 1999
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(5) of the Lands Tribunal and Compensation Act (Northern Ireland) 1964(1) and section 18 of the Administrative and Financial Provisions Act (Northern Ireland) 1962(2) and now vested in me(3) and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I hereby make the following Order:
Title and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Lands Tribunal (Salaries) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999 and shall come into operation on 9th July 1999.
Revocation
2. The Lands Tribunal (Salaries) Order (Northern Ireland) 1998(4) is hereby revoked.
Increases in salaries
3.—(1) The annual salary payable to the President of the Lands Tribunal shall be increased from £88,077 to £92,810 from 1st April 1999.
(2) The annual salary payable to any other member of the Lands Tribunal shall be increased from £84,752 to £89,306 from 1st April 1999.

Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order.)
This Order provides for changes in the annual salaries payable to members of the Lands Tribunal for Northern Ireland following recommendations made in the Report of the Review Body on Senior Salaries in 1999 (HMSO CM 4245).
It increases, with retrospective effect from 1st April 1999 under Section 18 of the Administrative and Financial Provisions Act (Northern Ireland) 1962, the annual salary of the President of the Lands Tribunal and all other members of the Tribunal.
Article 2 revokes the Lands Tribunal (Salaries) Order (Northern Ireland) 1998.
