1. These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicle Testing (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1998 and shall come into operation on 20th April 1998.
2.—(1) The Motor Vehicle Testing Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995(1) shall be amended as provided in paragraphs (2) to (4).
(2) In regulation 2(1) (interpretation), in the definition of “agricultural motor vehicle”, after the words ““pedestrian controlled vehicle”” there shall be inserted ““rigid vehicle”,”.
(3) In regulation 6 (exemptions), in paragraph (1)(x), for the words “regulation 5” there shall be substituted “regulation 2”.
(4) In Schedule 1(2) (fees), in paragraph 3, for sub-paragraph (h) there shall be substituted—
“(h)Goods vehicle over 3,500 kilograms maximum gross weight—
(i)2 axle rigid vehicle ... ... ... ... £28·00
(ii)3 axle rigid vehicle ... ... ... ... £30·00
(iii)any other vehicle ... ... ... ... £32·50”.
