The Education (Student Loans) (1998 Order) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 1998

The Department of Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(2) of the Education (Student Loans) (Northern Ireland) Order 1998(1) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Education (Student Loans) (1998 Order) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 1998.

Appointed day

2.  The day appointed for the coming into operation of the Education (Student Loans) (Northern Ireland) Order 1998, insofar as it is not already in operation is 1st March 1998.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order brings into operation on 1st March 1998 those provisions of the Education (Student Loans) (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 which enable regulations to prescribe certain terms of student loan agreements and make new provision in relation to the administration of public sector student loans.
