1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Disability Discrimination (Abolition of District Advisory Committees) Order (Northern Ireland) 1998 and shall come into operation on 30th July 1998.
(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(1) shall apply to this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
2. Section 17 of, and Schedule 2 to, the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act (Northern Ireland) 1945(2) (district advisory committees) are hereby repealed.
