Coming into operation
The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 50(4)(c) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 19811 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Roads (Speed Limit) (No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 1997 and shall come into operation on 7th April 1997.
Speed restrictions on certain roads2
The Department hereby directs that the road and each of the lengths of road specified in the Schedule shall be a restricted road for the purposes of Article 50 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981.
Revocation3
Item 9 of Schedule 2 to the Roads (Speed Limit) Order (Northern Ireland) 19792 is hereby revoked.
