Amendment of regulation 7 of the principal Regulations

2.  In regulation 7 of the principal Regulations (removal from pharmaceutical list)—

(a)in paragraph (1) after the word “shall” there shall be inserted the words “, subject to paragraph (1A),”; and

(b)after paragraph (1) there shall be inserted—

(1A) The name of any chemist whose business is carried on by representatives in accordance with the provisions of section 72 of the Medicines Act 1968(1) shall not be removed from the pharmaceutical list under paragraph (1) so long as the business is carried on by them in accordance with the provisions of that Act, and the representatives agree to be bound by the terms of service..
