Amendment of the principal Regulations
3.—(1) The principal Regulations shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).
(2) In regulation 2(2) for the definition of “animal” there shall be substituted the following—
““animal” means a castrated male animal of the bovine species which is slaughtered during the period 1st January 1998 to 10th June 1998 (both dates inclusive)”.
(3) The following paragraph shall be substituted for regulation 3(2) (application for premium payments)—
“(2) An application under paragraph (1) shall be lodged with the Department during the period 1st July 1998 to 12th September 1998 (both dates inclusive)”.
