These Regulations amend the Carriage of Dangerous Goods (Classification, Packaging and Labelling) and Use of Transportable Pressure Receptacles Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997 (“the principal Regulations”) in order to correct defects in the principal Regulations.
Regulation 2(a) substitutes a new Part I in Schedule 1 to the principal Regulations. The new Part I includes—
(a)danger signs; and
(b)in the entry for “Flammable Solid”, in column 2 (hazardous properties) another category (desensitised explosive where the explosive properties have been suppressed),
which were omitted from the principal Regulations.
Regulation 2(b) substitutes a new Part I in Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations. The new Part I includes subsidiary hazard signs which were omitted from the principal Regulations.
