Foyle Area (Control of Fishing) (Revocation) Regulations 1997

The Foyle Fisheries Commission in exercise of its powers under Section 13 of the Foyle Fisheries Act 1952(1) and section 13 of the Foyle Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1952(2) with the approval of the Minister of the Marine in the Republic of Ireland(3) and the Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland(4) hereby makes the following Regulations:—

Citation and commencement

1.  These regulations may be cited as the Foyle Area (Control of Fishing) (Revocation) Regulations 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st July 1997.

Revocation

2.  The Foyle Area (Control of Fishing) Regulations 1977(5) and the Foyle Area (Control of Fishing) (Amendment) Regulations 1993(6) are hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations.)

These Regulations revoke the Foyle Area (Control of Fishing) Regulations 1977 and the Foyle Area (Control of Fishing) (Amendment) Regulations 1993 which controlled the netting of fish and other forms of angling in the waters of the Foyle area.
