The Pensions (1995 Order) (Commencement No. 7) Order (Northern Ireland) 1997

The Department of Health and Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(2) of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 1995(1) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Pensions (1995 Order) (Commencement No. 7) Order (Northern Ireland) 1997.

Appointed day

2.  The day appointed for the coming into operation of Article 79(7) of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 (application of Article 56(3) and (4) for the purposes of the compensation provisions), for the purpose only of authorising the making of regulations, is 8th March 1997.

Explanatory Note

This Order provides for the coming into operation of Article 79(7) of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 on 8th March 1997 for the purpose only of authorising the making of regulations.
