The Department of Health and Social Services, in exercise of the power conferred on it by Article 3(2) of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1994(1) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health and Social Services Trusts (Exercise of Functions) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1997.
2. The Schedule to the Health and Social Services Trusts (Exercise of Functions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994(2) shall be amended as follows—
in the second column (Relevant functions of Health and Social Services Board), opposite the reference to the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1972(3), after “15,” there shall be inserted “15A,”.

These Regulations, which amend the Health and Social Services Trusts (Exercise of Functions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994, extend the list of Relevant Functions of a Health and Social Services Board to include functions under Article 15A of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 (as inserted by the Personal Social Services (Direct Payments) (Northern Ireland) Order 1996).
