ROAD TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES

Coming into operation
9th February 1997
WHEREAS the Department of the Environment has published a notice in compliance with Article 23(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981(1);
AND WHEREAS no objection or representation has been received;
NOW THEREFORE the Department, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 21(1) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Urban Clearways (Londonderry) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996 and shall come into operation on 9th February 1997.
2. The Schedule to the Urban Clearways (Londonderry) Order (Northern Ireland) 1986(2) shall be amended by—
(a)the substitution for the item relating to Shipquay Place of the following item:—

| Shipquay Place (from its junction with Shipquay Gate to its junction with Whittaker Street)— both sides | 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. 5.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. | Monday to Friday inclusive” |
(b)the deletion of the items relating to Custom House Street, Waterloo Place and William Street.

This Order further amends the Urban Clearways (Londonderry) Order (Northern Ireland) 1986 by deleting the items relating to Custom House Street, Waterloo Place and William Street and reducing the extent of the item relating to Shipquay Place, Londonderry.
