This Order prohibits in the interests of safety the driving of motor vehicles—
1. at more than 50 miles per hour on the westbound carriageway of the Motorway M3, from a point approximately 1,426 metres east of its junction with the Motorway M2, to a point approximately 926 metres east of that junction
and
2. at more than 30 miles per hour on the westbound carriageway of the Motorway M3, from its junction with Sydenham By-Pass, Route A2, Belfast, to a point approximately 1,426 metres east of its junction with the Motorway M2 and on the westbound carriageway of Sydenham By-Pass, Route A2, Belfast, from a point approximately 250 metres east of its junction with Dee Street, to its junction with the Motorway M3
for a period of 4 months commencing on 8th February 1997.
Any person who acts in contravention of the Order shall be guilty of an offence under the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale (£1,000).
Traffic signs indicating the effect of the Order will be erected on the roads in due course.
