54. Without prejudice to sections 28 and 29 of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(1), any appointment, deduction, payment, application, or election made, or approval, direction, consent, certificate or notice given, or any record or list kept, or any rank adopted, or any overtime worked or hours of duty worked on any public holiday or rest day, or any maximum limit fixed, or other thing done under any of the regulations revoked by these regulations or for the purposes thereof shall not be invalidated by the revocations effected by regulation 53, but shall, in so far as it could have been made, given, kept, adopted, worked, fixed or done under a provision of these regulations or for the purposes thereof, have effect as if it had been made, given, kept, adopted, worked, fixed or done under, or for the purposes of, that provision.
