Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order amends the provisions of the One-Way Traffic (Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 1986.

The effect of the Order is to introduce a one-way system of traffic in—

(a)Beechill Road, Belfast, from its junction with the new roundabout at Purdysburn Road to its junction with Saintfield Road (but excluding the access road to Nos. 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15 Beechill Road); and

(b)The new link road, from its junction with Saintfield Road, Belfast, to its junction with the new roundabout at Purdysburn Road.

Any person who acts in contravention of the Order shall be guilty of an offence under the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale (£1,000).

Traffic signs indicating the effect of the Order have been erected on the roads.
